Date de sortie : 12 mai 2015
Editeur : Feiwel & Friends

Forget everything you thought you knew about genies!
Azra
has just turned sixteen, and overnight her body lengthens, her olive
skin deepens, and her eyes glisten gold thanks to the brand-new silver
bangle that locks around her wrist. As she always knew it would, her
Jinn ancestry brings not just magical powers but the reality of a life
of servitude, as her wish granting is controlled by a remote ruling
class of Jinn known as the Afrit.
To the humans she lives among,
she’s just the girl working at the snack bar at the beach, navigating
the fryer and her first crush. But behind closed doors, she’s learning
how to harness her powers and fulfill the obligations of her destiny.
Mentored
by her mother and her Zar “sisters,” Azra discovers she may not be
quite like the rest of her circle of female Jinn . . . and that her
powers could endanger them all. As Azra uncovers the darker world of
becoming Jinn, she realizes when genies and wishes are involved, there’s
always a trick.

------------------------------------------------------
A computer-hacking teen. The girl who wants to save him. And a rogue mirror reflection that might be the death of them both.
In
private, seventeen-year-old Brandon hacks bank accounts for thousands
of dollars just for the hell of it. In public, he looks like any other
tattooed bad boy with a fast car and devil-may-care attitude. He should
know: he’s worked hard to maintain that façade. With inattentive parents
who move cities every couple of years, he’s learned not to get tangled
up in things like friends and relationships. So he’ll just keep on
living like a machine, all gears and wires.
Then two things come
along to shatter his carefully-built image: Emma, the kind, preppy girl
who insists on looking beneath the surface – and the small matter of a
mirror reflection that starts moving by itself. Not only does Brandon’s
reflection have a mind of its own, but it seems to be grooming him for
something – washing the dye from his hair, yanking out his piercings,
swapping his black shirts for … pastels. Changes he can’t explain to his
classmates, who think he’s having an identity crisis, and certainly not
to nosy Emma, who thinks this is his backward apology for telling her
to get lost. Then Brandon’s reflection tells him: it thinks it can live
his life better, and it’s preparing to trade places.
And when it
pulls Brandon through the looking-glass, not only will he need all his
ill-gotten hacking skills to escape, but he’s going to have to face some
hard truths about who he’s become. Otherwise he’s going to be stuck in a
digital hell until he’s old and gray, and Emma and his parents won't
even know he's gone

Mysterious doors with
lizard-head knobs. Talking stone statues. A crazy girl with a hatchet.
Yep, Liv’s dreams have been pretty weird lately. Especially this one
where she’s in a graveyard at night, watching four boys perform dark
magic rituals. The really weird thing is that Liv recognizes the boys in
her dream. They’re classmates from her new school in London, the school
where’s she’s starting over because her mom has moved them to a new
country (again). But they seem to know things about her in real life
that they couldn’t possibly know, which is mystifying. Then again, Liv
could never resist a good mystery. . .

It’s been nearly two
decades since the Red Allies first attacked New York, and Manhattan is
now a prisoner-of-war camp, ruled by Warden Rolladin and her brutal,
impulsive warlords. For 17-year-old Skyler Miller, Manhattan is a cage
that keeps her from the world beyond the city’s borders. But for Sky’s
16-year-old sister, Phee, the P.O.W. camp is a dangerous playground of
possibility, and the only home she’d ever want.
When Sky and Phee
discover their mom’s hidden journal from the outbreak of the war, they
both realize there’s more to Manhattan—and their mother—than either of
them had ever imagined. And after a group of strangers arrives at the
annual P.O.W. census, the girls begin to uncover the island’s long-kept
secrets. The strangers hail from England, a country supposedly destroyed
by the Red Allies, and Rolladin’s lies about Manhattan’s captivity
begin to unravel.
Hungry for the truth, the sisters set a series
of events in motion that ends in the death of one of Rolladin’s guards.
Now they’re outlaws, forced to join the strange Englishmen on an escape
mission through Manhattan. Their flight takes them into subways haunted
by cannibals, into the arms of a sadistic cult in the city’s Meatpacking
District, and, through the pages of their mom’s old journal, into the
island’s dark and shocking past. Sky and Phee are dependent on each
other, and their ragged posse, for survival, but as their feelings grow
toward the handsome English boy Ryder, love and jealousy threaten to
break them apart.

Pq ce livre? Histoire de famille sur fond de guerre, lé resumé promet des secrets, de l'action et de l'émotion donc je dis oui oui oui.

When Cora Mason wakes
in a desert, she doesn't know where she is or who put her there. As she
explores, she finds an impossible mix of environments--tundra next to
desert, farm next to jungle--and a strangely empty town cobbled together
from different cultures and time periods, all watched over by eerie
black windows. And she isn't alone.
Four other teenagers have
also been taken: a beautiful model, a tattooed smuggler, a secretive
genius, and an army brat who seems to know too much about Cora's past.
None of them have a clue as to what happened, and all of them have
secrets. As the unlikely group struggles for leadership, they slowly
start to trust each other. But when their mysterious jailer appears--a
handsome young guard named Cassian--they realize that their captivity is
more terrifying than they could ever imagine: their captors aren't from
Earth. And they have taken they five teenagers to an otherworldly
zoo--where the exhibits are humans.
When a forbidden attraction
develops between Cora and Cassian, she realizes that her best chance of
escape might be in the arms of her own jailer--though that would mean
leaving the others behind. Can Cora manage to save herself and her
companions? And if so…what world lies beyond the walls of their cage?
