My name is Lady Aileana Kameron.
First the fae murdered my mother. Then they destroyed my world.
Now I’m fighting for more than revenge.
Aileana
took a stand against the Wild Hunt, and she lost everything: her home,
her family and her friends. Held captive by her enemy, and tormenting
herself over her failure, escape seems like only the faintest
possibility. But when she gets her chance, she seizes it . . . to rejoin
a world devastated by war.
The future is bleak. Hunted by the
fae, running for her life, Aileana has only a few options left. Trying
to become part of a society scarred by – and hiding from – the Wild
Hunt; trusting that a fragile alliance with the fae will save her; or
walking the most dangerous path at all: coming in to her own powers as
the last of the Falconers . . .

Samantha may be falling
for the beloved of the princess she is sent to save in this start to a
hilarious, adventurous, and sweetly romantic trilogy.
When
Samantha is summoned to the royal court of Nova for a secret mission,
it’s her chance to put her training to the test: Princess Evelyn has
taken an illegal love potion with disastrous effects, and Samantha, like
her ancestors before her, is great at mixing potions. She may not be
one of the naturally Talented—those who can heal or transform at the
wave of their hands—but she is skilled nonetheless, and determined to
find an antidote and cure Princess Evelyn.
The problem? Princess
Evelyn took the love potion to make her best friend Zain fall for
her—and it's Zain who Samantha keeps encountering on her hunt for
antidote ingredients. As forbidden sparks between them fly, Samantha is
forced to wonder: will curing Princess Evelyn doom her own chance at
love?

Pq ce livre? Bon ça sent un peu le triangle, amoureuse et la romance et le vaudeville mais cela peut être drôle donc pourquoi pas. PS: la couv est juste canon.

Society girls from New
York City circa 1890, Dacia and Lou never desired to know more about
their lineage, instead preferring to gossip about the mysterious
Romanian family that they barely knew. But upon turning seventeen, the
girls must return to their homeland to meet their relatives, find proper
husbands, and—most terrifyingly—learn the deep family secrets of The
Claw, The Wing, and The Smoke. The Florescus, after all, are
shape-shifters, and it is time for Dacia and Lou to fulfill the prophecy
that demands their acceptance of this fate . . . or fight against this
cruel inheritance with all their might.
With a gorgeous Romanian
setting, stunning Parisian gowns, and dark brooding young men, readers
will be swept up by this epic adventure of two girls in a battle for
their lives.

22 minutes separate Julia Vann’s before and after.
Before: Julia had a twin brother, a boyfriend, and a best friend.
After:
She has a new identity, a new hometown, and memories of those
twenty-two minutes that refuse to come into focus. At least, that’s what
she tells the police.
Now that she’s Lucy Black, she's able to
begin again. She's even getting used to the empty bedroom where her
brother should be. And her fresh start has attracted the attention of
one of the hottest guys in school, a boy who will do anything to protect
her. But when someone much more dangerous also takes notice, Lucy's
forced to confront the dark secrets she thought were safely left behind.
One thing is clear: The damage done can never be erased. It’s only just beginning. . . .

Pq ce livre? J'avoue ce n'est pas du tout le genre de livre, que je lis en temps normal, mais les avis sont plutôt bons et l'héroïne s'appelle Lucy...
Hotel Ruby bySuzanne Young

Editeur : Simon Pulse
------------------------------------------------------
Stay Tonight. Stay Forever.
When
Audrey Casella arrives for an unplanned stay at the grand Hotel Ruby,
she’s grateful for the detour. Just months after their mother’s death,
Audrey and her brother, Daniel, are on their way to live with their
grandmother, dumped on the doorstep of a DNA-matched stranger because
their father is drowning in his grief.
Audrey and her family only
plan to stay the night, but life in the Ruby can be intoxicating,
extending their stay as it provides endless distractions—including
handsome guest Elias Lange, who sends Audrey’s pulse racing. However,
the hotel proves to be as strange as it is beautiful. Nightly fancy
affairs in the ballroom are invitation only, and Audrey seems to be the
one guest who doesn't have an invite. Instead, she joins the hotel staff
on the rooftop, catching whispers about the hotel’s dark past.
The
more Audrey learns about the new people she's met, the more her
curiosity grows. She’s torn in different directions—the pull of her past
with its overwhelming loss, the promise of a future that holds little
joy, and an in-between life in a place that is so much more than it
seems…
Welcome to the Ruby.

The sheriff’s son,
Kellan Turner, is not the golden boy everyone thinks he is, and Romy
Grey knows that for a fact. Because no one wants to believe a girl from
the wrong side of town, the truth about him has cost her
everything—friends, family, and her community. Branded a liar and
bullied relentlessly by a group of kids she used to hang out with,
Romy’s only refuge is the diner where she works outside of town. No one
knows her name or her past there; she can finally be anonymous. But when a
girl with ties to both Romy and Kellan goes missing after a party, and
news of him assaulting another girl in a town close by gets out, Romy
must decide whether she wants to fight or carry the burden of knowing
more girls could get hurt if she doesn’t speak up. Nobody believed her
the first time—and they certainly won’t now — but the cost of her
silence might be more than she can bear.

The Dead House by
Dawn Kurtagich
Date de sortie : 6 août 2015
Editeur : Orion Children's Books
------------------------------------------------------
Part-psychological
thriller, part-urban legend, this is an unsettling narrative made up of
diary entries, interview transcripts, film footage transcripts and
medical notes. Twenty-five years ago, Elmbridge High burned down. Five
people were killed and one pupil, Carly Johnson, disappeared. Now a
diary has been found in the ruins of the school. The diary belongs to
Kaitlyn Johnson, Carly’s identical twin sister. But Carly didn’t have a
twin . . .
Re-opened police records, psychiatric reports,
transcripts of video footage and fragments of diary reveal a web of
deceit and intrigue, violence and murder, raising a whole lot more
questions than it answers.
Who was Kaitlyn and why did she only
appear at night? Did she really exist or was she a figment of a
disturbed mind? What were the illicit rituals taking place at the
school? And just what did happen at Elmbridge in the events leading up
to ‘the Johnson Incident’?
Chilling, creepy and utterly
compelling, THE DEAD HOUSE is one of those very special books that finds
all the dark places in your imagination, and haunts you long after
you've finished reading.

In 2013:
Sixteen-year-old Alora is having blackouts. Each time she wakes up in a
different place with no idea of how she got there. The one thing she is
certain of? Someone is following her.
In 2146: Seventeen-year-old
Bridger is one of a small number of people born with the ability to
travel to the past. While on a routine school time trip, he sees the
last person he expected—his dead father. The strangest part is that,
according to the Department of Temporal Affairs, his father was never
assigned to be in that time. Bridger’s even more stunned when he learns
that his by-the-book father was there to break the most important rule
of time travel—to prevent someone’s murder.
And that someone is named Alora.
Determined
to discover why his father wanted to help a “ghost,” Bridger illegally
shifts to 2013 and, along with Alora, races to solve the mystery
surrounding her past and her connection to his father before the DTA
finds him. If he can stop Alora’s death without altering the timeline,
maybe he can save his father too.

When he inadvertently
commits heresy by creating a device that could change the world, Jess

Pq ce livre? Je n'ai pas lu l'autre saga de l'auteure malgré les avis super positifs, donc je me dis autant se laisser tenter par celle-ci même si la couverture est vraiment pas terrible.
