Ce livre était une de mes grosses sorties de l'année et je n'ai pas attendu longtemps pour le lire et autant vous dire j'ai adoré.

Lorsque l'auteur a commencé à parler de ce livre, elle a mis en avant l'amitié de ses 2 héroïnes, Iseult et Safiya. Je trouve ça génial que l'auteure mise sur une amitié pour un sauver le monde (si on peut dire) et comment vous dire que j'ai reconnu beaucoup de choses dans cette amitié. Iseult et Safiya sont extrêmement différentes, l'une est posée, réfléchie, l'autre impulsive et colérique et pourtant leur relation est extra. Elles ont un grand respect l'une pour l'autre, connaisse en un coup d'oeil ce que l'autre pense et pour avoir atteint ce genre d'amitié je n'ai pu qu'aimer ses 2 personnages. Leur lien est proche de la famille et c'est beau à lire.

Pour l'univers et l'intrigue, ce livre est vraiment une grosse introduction, on en apprend juste assez pour comprendre où on est mais les grands enjeux de la série sont encore un peu secrets. Les éléments magiques, et les jeux politiques qui prennent place ont un grand potentiel et je pense que la suite agrandira tout ça. 

Pour l'intrigue vraiment de ce premier tome, ça marche plutôt bien. Il y a de l'action en juste quantité, le développement de nos personnages est aussi top et il y de la romance qui point son nez (même si ce n'est pas du tout le sujet principal). Le seul défaut que j'y trouve c'est ce côté introduction qui me donne l'impression que le roman n'a pas encore atteint son potentiel mais mise à part ça, ma lecture fut plus que bonne et la suite est déjà dans ma wish-list.
